Hong Kong Disneyland - 2 Dec 2008 to 5 Dec 2008

Day One - 2 Dec 2008

We reached Changi Airport at 6am to catch our flight to Hong Kong. As it was my first flight experience, Daddy and Mommy were quite anxious about my well-being throughout the trip. Well.... I survived with no complains!!!

Flying on Cathay Pacific

Wow!!! We arrived at Disney Hollywood Hotel at 12 noon but we couldn't check-in till 3pm but my Mommy tried her luck at 1.30pm. Phew!!! Our room was ready!

Let's me take you on a virtual tour of our room.
Having a good time jumping on the bed

Check out the shower curtain....

As our Disney Theme Park tickets were for 3 Dec and 4 Dec, Mommy and Daddy decided to explore outside Disneyland. We took the MTR to Tung Chung to recee Lantau Island's Big Buddha. But we were too late for the cable car as we reached Tung Chung at 4.30pm.

Please get me a ticket!

Everything is Mickey Mania..

My Mommy.... poor Mommy was down with bad tonsilitis!

Nevermind.... let's go for early dinner at the CityGate Mall..... Hee... I fell asleep while Mommy and Daddy enjoyed their Wanton Mee... Learnt that Hong Kong's Wantons are GIGANTIC!!! Just like my golf balls ....

We bought tonnes of goodies and snacks back to the hotel... Daddy had booked dinner at Enchanted Garden, Disneyland Hotel. I couldn't wait to meet my favourite Disney Characters!!!

Luckily, we came to Hong Kong during the off season period... There weren't many people at the restaurant. We had a sumptous dinner and not forgetting taking tonnes and tonnes of photos with my favourite Pluto, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse! Too bad Donald Duck and Daisy were off duty that night!

Day Two - 3 Dec 2008

We arrived at Disney Theme Park at 10am. Lots of people were waiting to enter the park... We had our thumbs scanned as our tickets were for multiple entries. Mine is Annual Ticket and Mommy forgot to bring my passport for verification. Nevertheless, the Jie Jie allowed me to pass throught the gantry.

We tried most of the rides. As I was afraid of darkness and loudness... We gave Tomorrowland a miss!!! After a long day at the Theme Park, we returned to the hotel for a rest before heading back for the fireworks.

Just before the fireworks, they had the Royal Princess Dance... Boring and hee... I fell asleep again. Mommy and Daddy walked past Mickey Mouse's Christmas House and tried their luck to enter.... NO QUEUE at all!!! Was Mickey off duty.... Nope! We were very lucky to meet him. Daddy had to force my eyes open. I was cranky and sulk during the photo-taking. However, something just stuck me after we left the Christmas House... I demanded to meet Mickey again but the queue had formed. So Mommy suggested that we took a stroll along the Main Street and tried our luck again later.

Oh! Lucky Me!!! I met my dear Mickey again... Ha! Ha!

It's time for fireworks!!! Alas! I am afraid of loudness!!! I cried and refused to stay any longer. So Daddy suggested that we travelled to town for supper... We arrived at Mong Kok at 9.30pm and had porridge for supper. Hmmm.... delicious. We also bought some egg tarts and red bean cake back.

Day Three- 4 Dec 2008

Mommy and Daddy planned to visit the Big Buddha today. So we travelled to Tung Chung again and took cable car up. We spent one whole day at the Big Buddha. My Daddy even piggy-back me up the flight of steps up to the Big Buddha.... Muack!!! We had vegetarian meal before returning to Disneyland.

Day Four-5 Dec 2008

Today, we shall be going back to Singapore in the evening as Mommy had a school function to attend!

We went to Mong Kok again to shop. Mommy went on a shopping spree at SaSa, Heng Xiang for their Lau Po Biscuits. We were dead tired.... We walked from Mong Kok to Jordan MTR station. Shopping doesn't interest me... So I slept again and my poor Daddy had to carry me.

We enjoyed our trip very much!!!

Our Trip to Hong Kong (2 Dec 08 to 5 Dec 08)

You must be very eager to know about our recent trip to Hong Kong. It was very tiring as Gerald always asked Daddy to carry him. Mommy and Daddy were also sick during the trip. Sigh... But nevertheless, we thoroughly enjoyed the trip. So did Gerald.

More updates coming your way...

Love,
Mommy

Gerald's sick!

Hmmm... Our dear boy is down with cough. Daddy brought him to Dr Tan at Loyang Point yesterday. Doc advised to start him on low dosage of Ventolin for these few days till Gerald's condition improved.

This boy is really up to something.... We just priased him for not getting any asthmatic attacks for the last four months.... Now?! Just a few days after his KKH Asthma Review.... He's on Ventolin. Sigh!

Hopefully, he'll recover very fast.

Get well....My son.

Love, Mommy

A Day @ Suntec City

Daddy and I decided to get a scarf for Gerald as we will be leaving for Hong Kong soon.  Not much choices at FOX.... So, we decided to get one at Disneyland instead.

Hmmm..It was lunch time at Suntec City today. Not much crowd. So Mommy, Daddy and Gerald had a good time shopping.  Managed to buy what we want.  Just when I was about to leave Giordano, Gerald pulled me to the escalator, "I want to feed fish!".  Wow!!! Daddy and I were shocked to hear that as it has been a long, long time since we came to Suntec City.

To please our little prince, we acceded to his request to feed the Koi.  He bought a packet of feed by himself and fed the Koi.  As I just popped a pill of Clarinase for my running nose, I felt groggy and rested on the bench watching Gerald and Daddy.  What a relaxing time!

Next, lunch time!!! What to eat?  We were spoilt for choice and finally decided to patronise Beppu Ramen.  They have reasonable priced menu.  We ordered two bowls of spicy ramen and a Kid's Meal for Gerald.

It's time to go home after a long day shopping but our little prince wanted to continue shopping. But Daddy and Mommy had the final say.... Let's go home now.  We'll come again.   Guess what's Gerald's response?  "I don't want to come to Tan Tact Tity anymore!"  Ha..ha!  We expected that!

Love, Mommy

Good Morning Gerald!

Its been a long time since I had the chance to say this to Gerald. He's normally still sound asleep at 7am when I leave the house. Anyway, we're going to spend the morning together before he goes to school. (Good thing that he likes to go to school)

He was playing with his toys in the morning. He started taking out one set of toy after another. The rule that I've set for him is to have one set of toy out at a time... but then it suddenly occurred to me that my rule seems to stifle his creativity. He's literally build a small town with the toys that he has. Take a look at the picture.

At the top left hand corner of the picture, you can see the train station (his Thomas and Friend Train set) At the centre, you can see the airport control tower and beside that, the construction site. Its not my guess, Gerald clearly articulated his intentions when he started bringing out one toy at a time.

Gerald's asthma review

Brought Gerald for his 4 monthly Asthma Review at KKH today. They have definitely improved their workflow. The wait was not long (unlike all other previous reviews) The appointment time was 3.10pm. By 3.50pm, we were done with the review. I can also use my medisave to pay for his 4 months of medication with normally comes up to $200+ each time. By 4.45pm, I'm out of the the hospital. In the past, we'd still be waiting to see the doctor. WELL DONE!!! KKH.

Gerald was well behaved. He was unusually quiet at the doctor's today. Finally he asked the question... "Daddy... I behave???" But when he didn't get a sweet from the doctor (usually the doctor has a whole container of sweets on her desk), he was pretty disappointed. Nevermind, I rewarded him with one tic tac in the car.

Photos uploaded!

Just got some photos uploaded. Had some problems with the slide show updating the photos from flickr. But it seemed ok this morning when I woke up. Seems likes there'll be a delay in updating the photo stream.
We've got so many photos of our wonderful son to share. Of course, there photos of our wonderful "Lao Da" our pet maltese. He's considered to be the first son in the family. Gerald is second. Hee hee...

Yipee! Off... We Go!

That's right! This will be Gerald's first overseas trip via airplane. We have been preparing him for the trip like, talking about ettique on the airplane. If not, he might create some boo boo...You know, our little boy loves to talk....

Thank you, Daddy for starting this blog to archive all our wonderful experiences.

Cheers!

Going to Hong Kong Disneyland on 2nd Dec 2008

We are so happy with ourselves for getting a good... no... great deal for a 4 days 3 nights stay at Disney's Hollywood Hotel.

It took us two trips to the travel agency... one day of research online and a stroke of luck before coming to the conclusion that we should book for the trip on line.

We called the hotel reservation at HK (yes... overseas call) With the call, we were able to book day ticket for the theme park, the annual pass for Gerald and the Seaview hotel room (with 30% off because of Gerald's annual pass). All thanks to Mommy for her resourcefulness. I made a reservation for dinner at the Enchanted Garden Restaurant at Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel. There, Gerald can have dinner with his favorite Disney Characters.

The whole experience of booking all these things were great!!! Oh yes... they have a Disney character for every letter of the alphabet. D as in Donald, P as in Pooh... etc. Gerald's really excited about the trip. He's been asking about it ever since. I think the family is going to have a great time.
